ഒരു ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാനി സംഗീതജ്ഞനും ഗായകനും ചലച്ചിത്ര സംഗീതസംവിധായകനുമാണ് രമേഷ് നാരായൺ. പണ്ഡിറ്റ് ജസ്രാജിന്റെ ശിഷ്യനായിരുന്ന ഇദ്ദേഹം 20-ഓളം ചിത്രങ്ങൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി സംഗീത സംവിധാനം നിർവ്വഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ കൂത്തുപറമ്പിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ജനിച്ചത്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അച്ഛൻ നാരായണൻ ഭാഗവതർ പേരുകേട്ട ഒരു സംഗീതപണ്ഡിതനായിരുന്നു. അച്ഛനിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രേരണ ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട് 20-പതാം വയസ്സു വരെ അദ്ദേഹം കർണ്ണാട്ടിക് സംഗീതം അഭ്യസിച്ചു. പിന്നീട് ചിറ്റൂർ ഗവ: സംഗീത കോളേജിൽ ചേർന്ന് സംഗീതം പഠിച്ചു. അതിന് ശേഷം പൂനയിലേക്ക് താമസം മാറ്റി.
