The Kerala Film Distributors Association on Wednesday stopped distribution of films from other languages, aggravating the crisis crippling the Malayalam film industry for some time now. The move is in protest against the Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation’s decision not to screen Malayalam films from November 1. The strike launched by the exhibitors in the wake of the state government’s decision to scrap the service charge levied by theatres affected releases of several new films.
