രാജാധിരാജ എന്ന ആദ്യ ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ട സംവിധായകനാണ് അജയ് വാസുദേവ്. മമ്മൂട്ടി നായകനായി എത്തിയ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിനുശേഷം 2017ല്‍ മാസ്റ്റര്‍പീസ് എന്ന ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് വീണ്ടും മമ്മൂട്ടിയെ നായകനാക്കി ഷൈലോക്ക് എന്ന ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു.
