ചലച്ചിത്ര നടനും തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തുമാണ് രൂപേഷ് പീതാംബരന്. 1982 ആഗസ്ത് 22ന് പെരുമ്പാവൂരില് ജനനം. പിതാവ് ചലചിത്രനിര്മ്മാതാവുകൂടിയായ കെ.ബി പീതാംബരന്. 1995ല് പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ മോഹന്ലാല് ചിത്രം സ്പടികത്തില് ബാലതാരമായി അഭിനയിച്ചാണ് സിനിമാലോകത്തേക്ക് കടന്നുവന്നത്. 1996ല് ദൂരദര്ശന് ചാനലില് സംപ്രേഷണം ചെയ്ത പ്രണവം എന്ന സീരിയലില് അഭിനയിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഐടി പ്രൊഫഷണലായിരുന്ന രൂപേഷ് സിനിമയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ജോലി രാജിവെക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ദുല്ഖര് സല്മാന് നായകനായി 2012ല് ഇറങ്ങിയ തീവ്രം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ തിരക്കഥ രൂപേഷിന്റെയാണ്. കൂടാതെ ആസിഫ് അലി , ടോവീനോ തോമസ് എന്നിവര് പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളായി 2015ല് പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ യു ടൂ ബ്രൂട്ടസ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെയും തിരക്കഥ എഴുതിയത് രൂപേഷാണ്. 2017ല് ഇറങ്ങിയ ഒരു മെക്സിക്കന് അപാരതയാണ് ഒടുവിലായി അഭിനയിച്ച ചിത്രം.
